1. I came across FindArticles.com and want to share it with you. This is a superbly vast archive of published articles that you can search for free - and as such is a very useful research tool. It contains articles dating back to 1998 from more than 300 magazines and journals and the maintainers promise that it is constantly updated. Highly recommended.

2. Another very useful resource is Internet Public Library's Pathfinders - "home-grown guides written by IPL staff to help you get started doing research on a particular topic, both online and at your local library." They are very focused and easy to follow, being aimed at all age groups - my only quibble is that some of the pages (including the home page) seem to take an age to appear. I almost gave up waiting! Well worth hanging around for, though.

Happy searching.
